Review: Ganbanyoku Hot Stone Therapy

Hi lovelies,

A while ago, my sis and I visited Ganbanyoku to experience a hot stone therapy.
This hot stone therapy is a Japan's concept for natural self-healing and detox.

Ganbanyonku delivers an authentic form of Japanese non-invasive and therapeutic methods, using the best forms of healing stem from a natural source. This therapy is 60 minutes in length and it helps to counter physical imbalances and eradicate toxins in the body. It is suitable for children from as young as 12 years old to Senior Citizens.

The stones that Ganbanyonku uses are imported from Japan. They release Far Infrared Rays (FIRs) and negative ions to speed up the release of toxins from the body through perspiration. FIRs have the ability to penetrate deeply into the inner areas of muscles, joints and tissue to active major bodily function. Their FIRs do not include UV rays and are safe for everyone.

When we were there, each of us were given locker key, a Yukata, a face towel, and a large towel to lay on the stone bed.

Ganbanyoku is well equipped with facilities which includes shower room, dressing area and locker for safekeeping of our items.

We changed into our Yukata and ready to go for our hot stone therapy!

We were led to a room. Their rooms are all labelled with the city names of Japan.
Their therapy rooms are shared spaces but they have thoughtfully divided the rooms for different gender. However, if you come as a family, you may also request to be in the same therapy room.

We can lay in any positions that we want to help boost blood circulation all around the body.
We were left in the room undisturbed for 60 minutes and we can choose to either leave the lights on or dimmed.

For the first 10 minutes, my body did not perspire much but after 20 minutes, I could feel my body heating up. The heat from the hot stone was bearable as there was a piece of towel over the hot stone bed but once my body temperature got adjusted to the heat of the hot stone bed, I actually removed the towel and enjoyed the rest of my therapy laying directly on the hot stone.

After the therapy, my mind felt more alert, my body felt energetic, the tensed muscles on my back and legs felt more relaxed, I was feeling mentally happier, and the perspiration on my body was silky smooth. Surprisingly, the perspiration does not smell at all.

Once out of the therapy room, there are chilling places available for us to have a cup of tea and let our body temperature cool down and adjust back to normal temperature.
