Food Review: Hippopotamus Grill Restaurant

About Hippopotamus Grill Restaurant
Created in Paris in 1968, the Hippopotamus restaurant Grill has gained a strong reputation, especially in the Paris region, with the widest selections of cut from well-known Sirloin, Tenderloin and Rib Steak, to the rare Hanger and Skirt Steaks., at affordable prices. Hippopotamus welcomes diners in a contemporary setting and friendly ambience, conducive to a relaxing meal, making it a favourite meeting place for lunch and dinner, and meals with family, collagues or friends.

I enjoyed a meal with my friends at Hippopotamus Grill Restaurant last week.

Each table was served with a bowl of their self-made potato chips. It has a slight char taste, but I like its crispiness.

I placed an order for their Beef Skewer which has a wide diversity of beef: Sirloin, Rump, Skirt and Hanger steak. It comes with a sauce of your choice and a side dish.

My medium well done Beef Skewer with a Potato Gratin side dish and Bearnaise sauce.

The steak was good enough, not super fantastic but for the price paid (S$25.60 after adding all the service charge and GST) I can't complain much. The piece of steak was quite huge and filling too, it's really cost-friendly.

The Potato Gratin was awesome! It was flavorful and I love the natural sweetness of this dish.
