    4. Oh okay. :) Thank you. :) Erm...may I ask is it really okay to use the Everstyle Curl Activating Mousse and Curl Defining Gel together? Because some people say you can use it together while some people say you can't use it together. There are also people who say it depends on your hair. So I'm kinda confuse and stuck. And also because I kinda permed my hair curly for the first time. So I kinda need some advice and help. :(

    5. The two products should be used separately.
Use EverStyle Alcohol-Free Curl Activating Mousse when you are going to curl your hair and you want the curls to have better shape and last longer through the day.
Use EverStyle Alcohol-Free Curl Defining Gel when you already have curled hairs and this product helps to sculpt & define smooth curls. After applying the gel, scrunch hair to enhance curl pattern.

      Hope this helps.

      Cheers,
      Yvonne

    8. Oh okay. :) Thank you very much. :) Anyway, I saw this EverStrong Overnight Repair Treatment on the L'oreal website. It is said to be good for permed hair like mine. And I was wondering after I apply that, do I still have to apply the EverStyle Curl Defining Gel?

    9. EverStrong Overnight Repair Treatment is to be left on hair overnight and rinse off in the morning. After washing of hair, you may apply EverStyle Curl Defining Gel to give your hair the curls. This also helps to ensure that the curls of permed hairs last longer.

      Cheers,
      Yvonne

    10. Oh I see... :) That's great. :) Oh you have to wash it off? But I saw the video by the hair expert say you don't have to... :P

    11. Or if not, I was thinking of buying an Essential Nuance Airy Intensive Hair Mask for my hair. But I have a slight problem. My hair is kinda oily too. People say you have apply the mask only until mid-length of your hair if it's oily and for curly hair, you have to apply until the roots. I'm kinda stuck and I really need help on my hair. It's kinda losing its curls too and I only just permed it 3 weeks ago. :( I really need some help and advice. :(

    12. Hi Shu Fen, in order to apply EverStyle Curl Defining Gel, you need to rinse off EverStrong Overnight Repair Treatment first. Otherwise your hair will feel too heavy and weigh down, which will in turn flatten the curls of your hair.

  2. The durability of your curls depends very much on what kind of perming you went for. Some perms don't really last for long because it is meant to give your hair loose curls and not defined curls.

The product you use also depends on your hair needs. When you say your hair is oily, do you mean your scalp is oily? If that is so, applying hair mask or hair treatment to your hair will not solve the oiliness problem, and hair being oily has nothing to do with your hair losing its curls. Applying hair mask only helps to condition and smoothen your hair, it does not give your hair curls. You need to use hair styling products to maintain the curls of your hair.

Hope I have answered your questions.

    Cheers,
    Yvonne

    1. Oh I went for a digital perm. I didn't request for a digital perm but the person just did digital perm for me. :( So does that mean my curl wouldn't last? :(

      Delete
    2. Hi Shu Fen,

Salons call all kinds of perm as digital perm but it really depends on the products that the salon used on your hair and the hair perming techniques they performed on your hair. I suggest it's best for you to check with your hairdresser and ask for advise to maintain your curls.

      Cheers,
      Yvonne

    3. Oh okay...anyway, I have a slight problem. I read up on articles about hair gel. They said that it is bad for our hair and it will cause hair fall easily. I was wondering if alcohol free hair gel would make my hair fall or not. :( Also, I was thinking if I buy the curl activating mousse, can I still scrunch my hair if I didn't blow dry my hair?

      Delete
    4. Hi Shu Fen, hair gel is meant to hold the hair together, so if you run your fingers through your hair, it is definitely going to pull off a few strands of hair. Hair gel also has to be thoroughly rinsed off at the end of the day to prevent it from knotting your hairs.
The curl activating mousse is to give your hair more curls when you use the curlers or hair curling iron to curl your hair. If you are not intending to use curlers or hair curling iron, you can let the curl activating mousse air dry and it will just give your hair loose curls.

      Cheers,
      Yvonne

    5. Oh...I don't mind having loose curls actually. I kinda like it. But for mousse, is it necessary to apply it on the roots too? Because I saw some people just apply it from mid-length and all the way down and they still get the nice curls.

      Delete
    6. Just apply mid-length down will do and remember to swirl your hair with your fingers.

      Cheers,
      Yvonne

    7. Oh okay. I can scrunch my hair too right? Because I usually scrunch and twirl at the same time whether I'm applying or not applying my hair product. And I kinda bought a serum for my hair and I was wondering should I put the mousse first or should I use the serum first? I tried google-ing it and they have different answers for me.

      Delete
    8. Yes, you can apply the mousse and twirl your hair.

Whether to apply the serum or the mousse first depends on the heaviness of the product. Normally a serum is of a lighter version and could be applied first before the mousse.

      Delete
    9. Oh not the mousse first? Because I went to see how the L'Oreal hair expert did they place the mousse first then the serum. Now I'm confuse. :P

      Delete
    10. That's why it has to depend on the heaviness of the product. Always apply the product that is the lightest on the hair first followed by any other.

      Cheers,
      Yvonne
