Review: My VMVery Favorite Things from VMV Hypoallergenics

The international sensitive skin expert, VMV Hypoallergenics, is sparkling with a skintimate holiday cheer this season, and most anxious to impart that skinfabulous experience through four gorgeous holiday kits containing some of its global best-selling products!

The holiday kit that I've gotten is called the My VMVery Favorite Things.

Ladies and gentlemen alike will be “skinfatuated” with My VMVery Favorite Things, a classic brown paper package containing seven of the all-time favourite VMV products from basic skincare to powerful protection, moisture to multi-tasking therapy!

Let's open up!
The interior reveals a brown paper package tied up with string, full of your favorite VMV things! As smile-inducing as a box of chocolate samplers sans the calories.

A great Christmas gift to give this festive season as it comprises a complete range of skincare and bodycare products that one would need, especially for travelling. This Christmas set consists of all the must-haves products under VMV Hypoallergenics.
Read on to find out my thoughts about each product.

1)      Mommy Coddling All-over Lotion

Directions to use:
As needed, gently massage onto face + body skin. Avoid mucosal (wet) areas of eyes, nostrils + mouth.
For severely dry, sensitive, seborrheic skin, follow with Oil's Well Nurturing Do-It-Oil.
USAGE NOTE: Pure virgin coconut oil naturally "butters" in temperatures below 76°F (24°C). If the oil in this Lotion solidifies, place bottle in warm water until it reliquefies or scoop out and use as normal (it melts on contact with skin).

My thoughts:
Comes in a slight yellowish colour, watery texture cream, and it smells like coconut candy. It feels light-weighted and easily absorbed into the skin. It makes my skin feels so baby smooth after that. It works great in cold temperature, when the skin is feeling tight and dry.

2)      Creamy Rich Intensive Moisture Milk

Directions to use:
2x-a-day, massage a small amount onto skin

My thoughts:
Comes in a white cream form. Texture is quite thick, not the watery type, and there’s some resistance felt while spreading out the product. The texture felt like skin “butter” because of the glycerin in this product.  No added fragrance but a mild coconut oil scent is noticeable. The product got absorbed into the skin without leaving any sticky or greasy residue. However, when too much is being applied to the skin, it does feel a little heavy on the skin in Singapore’s humid weather.

3)   Re-everything Face-Hand-Body Lotion

Directions to use:
Massage a generous amount over neck, chest, arms, elbows, legs, knees and other external body skin. Can also be used on face as an interim moisturizer between applications of Re-Everything Creams when increasing usage frequency at the start of therapy. Reapply as often as desired or needed.
Note: Avoid mucosal (wet) areas of eyes, nostrils + mouth.

My thoughts:
Feels thick and heavy in texture but works gently on the skin to gently exfoliate dead skin cells and reveals a lighter skin tone after use. It makes the skin feels smoother after use too, and I love the results of my skin after using this product.

4)  Sweat, Acne, and Overall Anti-bacterial Monolacringel

Directions to use:
As often as needed... For Sweat Acne: Squeeze out gel and apply on chest, back, arms, thighs, other sweaty areas.
For Face or Body Acne: Apply over affected areas, carefully avoiding mucosal (wet) areas of genitalia, eyes, nostrils and mouth.
For Shine Control: Use on bare skin or before makeup.
Can be reapplied as needed throughout the day

My thoughts:
It smells like normal antiseptic wipes with its strong alcohol smell. I tried it on my acne and love the cooling sensation on my swollen acne and the product helps the acne to dry up slightly the next day. I also use this product as a hand sanitizer. The only downside for this product is it's packaging as the opening is too big, so sometimes too much of the product is dispensed.

5)  Know-it-Oil

Directions to use:
As often as needed or desired, massage over face + body. Let dry (give it just a few seconds; it soaks right in). Consult your doctor or nutritionist for other possible uses.
Note: Pure virgin coconut oil naturally "butters" in temperatures below 76°F (24°C). If oil solidifies, place bottle in warm water until it reliquefies or scoop out and use as normal (it melts on contact with skin).

My thoughts:
Coconut scent, oil texture. It feels a little heavy on the skin but I’m glad that the oil got absorbed into my skin after a while and it didn’t make my skin feel too greasy after that. After usage, it makes my skin feels really smooth and it even helped to heal the fine cracks on my dry skin.

6) Superwash Hair and Body Milk Shampoo

Directions to use:
As often as needed, work into a rich lather on hair and scalp, and gently massage all over body. Rinse well. Safe enough even for frequent bathing.

My thoughts:
There’s no added fragrance to the shampoo and it lathers easily when applied to wet hair. It cleanses the scalp well after usage as I could feel my hair and scalp feeling clean, yet without causing my hair or scalp to feel dry. Suitable to be used on body as well without causing skin to feel dry after use.

 7) Armada Sport SPF70

Directions to use:
Shake well before use. Apply liberally on face and body skin, carefully avoiding membranous areas of eyes and nostrils. For best results, apply 30 to 60 minutes prior to sun exposure, especially before highly active sports.
When outdoors, reapply at least every 1 to 2 hours, after swimming or sweating and after towel drying

My thoughts:
The plus points for this sunblock would be its SPF 70 value and its water resistant property. There’s no added fragrance in this sunblock, just the natural scent from its ingredients. The texture is a little watery, making it easy to spread out on the skin and it feels light-weight, non-sticky and non-greasy on the skin.
