Review: Elicina Plus Cream (80% snail extract)

Elicina is an original product from Chile. It is organic, natural, hypoallergenic, and it is a safe natural cream that triggers the regeneration of your skin.

There are 2 different types, Elicina Plus Cream and Elicina Cream. Elicina Cream does not contain moisturiser, so for people with drier skin, Elicina Plus Cream is recommended in order to avoid excessive dryness or tightness produced by the exfoliant action of the extract.

Elicina Plus Cream is designed for people with dry and/or sensitive skin that require more humectants in order to avoid irritation, dryness and tightness. Elicina Plus has 80% of snail extract and the other 20% are enriched with carefully selected humectants for a balanced and effective moisture. This new formulation gives your skin a refreshing sensation of elasticity and firmness.

Information about Elicina:

Elicina Plus Cream acts as an exfoliate that eliminate dead cells, destroys pathogens, heals and regenerates damaged tissue. It reduces scars, removes damaged cells and imperfections. It nourishes the skin, protects it from free radicals, improves elasticity. It also increases density, moisture retention capacity and skin’s firmness and leaves it baby soft and smooth.

Ingredients:
Warning! : There are products in the market that claimed to contain snail extract when they actually don't, so always look out for snail extract in the ingredients list before making your purchase to make your money worthwhile. Elicina is an authentic and reliable brand which you can definitely trust.

According to Elicina, Elicina products have been designed to be as natural as possible (snail is not sacrificed in this process).
  • Comprised of 80% snail extract and 20% cream base
  • Suitable for all skin types and all age groups
  • Contains no colorants or perfumes
  • Hypoallergenic
  • Has no side effects
  • Safe for children and for pregnant and nursing mothers

Every product comes with the seal to ensure the freshness of the product when you receive it.

Let me show you how your skin will look like with Elicina Plus Cream applied on.
The texture of Elicina Plus Cream is slight creamy but very lightweight and gets absorbed by the skin quite well. After spreading onto the skin, there will be a thin white film but not to worry, after a few seconds, the product will be absorbed into the skin. Elicina Plus Cream doesn't leave any greasy feeling unless too much of the product is applied to the skin, making it longer for the product to get fully absorbed by the skin.
(Take note: Elicina Plus Cream has no whitening effect. Photo 3 is taken when the sun got out from the clouds, hence my skin appeared brighter in the photo.)

I've used Elicina Plus Cream on my face and stretch marks, which I will be showing you the results.

Firstly, let's see the face. (Warning! : The skin might not look pleasant to your eyes.)

Have you noticed the effectiveness of Elicina Plus Cream?

1. Redness on skin reduced by a lot. My skin used to take about 2 months to heal and for the redness to be gone but with Elicina Plus Cream, my skin healed faster.
2. Pit holes on cheeks are not so deep now. I used to have very bad acne problem during my teens, leaving ugly 'holes' on my face but I've seen improvement after using Elicina Plus Cream.
3. Skin became smoother.

Next, let me share how Elicina Plus Cream worked for my stretch marks.

You will notice that the stretch marks started to fade out on my skin after using Elicina Plus Cream, and after 1 month, the stretch marks look less obvious. I think you might have noticed that the stretch marks take longer to see the result than my face. This is because, according to the direction of use, I should apply Elicina Plus Cream twice a day on the stretch marks but I only applied once a day.

The results seen after using Elicina Plus Cream are amazing, isn't it?

My rating: 4/5

If you are interested in Elicina, you can check out their website and facebook. :))

  2. Hi there! I would love to share the results after using for 3 months. Unfortunately, my current tube is left with very little which I guess can last me for about 2 weeks at most. I'll try to get new supply and I might share a second review after 3 months. :))

Keep a lookout for the review and thanks for dropping by my blog! :))

  4. Hi! May I know how you use your Elicina snail cream?

You mean not much results seen on your face or for your stretch marks?

  5. great that elicina is working for you. I used it a few years ago with great success, although it took about two months before I noticed any healing then all of a sudden pitted scars were removed. Please update with pics. I was informed from other users that I would not see much progress until around 8 weeks or so and they were correct. but those 8 weeks were long!

  6. I have had good results with elicina for pitted scars. It took about six weeks for me to notice any effect at all then after eight weeks pits started to disappear. I would encourage you to go for a longer period of time. hth

  7. I don't see results at all. How much do they pay you tobe a spokeman?

  8. Hi Janice, I am not paid a single cent to review this product. Results may take long to be seen but it varies for different individual.

After using this product my skin is still not perfect yet. Our skin changes frequently and we still get breakouts and all on our skin. This product doesn't give instant healing results. Our skin also need some time to adapt to the product first then it slowly show results on the skin. Some readers told me it took them 8 weeks to see results, some within 3-4 weeks, some even a few months, so it really depends on how your skin will adapt and react to this product.

Hope I have answered you. :)

  9. yvonne,
by the way I got results with the regular elicina, not the "plus" version. Maybe that makes a difference?

  10. Hi there, Elicina Cream does not contain moisturiser and it is recommended for people with normal to oily skin type whereas Elicina Plus Cream comes with skin moisturiser and it is recommended for people with dry skin type. Both products give the same results but it's just made for different skin type. :)

  11. are you seeing results now after three months now? I wrote about my success after 8 weeks. Its been four years and now I would like to use it again for new scars.

  12. Hi Anonymous, I think I am seeing results but it takes long for the scars to heals than the formation of scars on my skin. Can you PM me and share your experience with me?

    ReplyDelete
  13. Hi Yvonne
I dont know how to PM you..
anyway I used elicina about four years ago for pitted scars (small holes from extracted blackheads--not enlarged pores but visible pits) these were small but deep and red. I used elicina (regular not moisture formula), for two months maybe longer. I applied two to three times per day (washing area before reapplying) and did not see any results until around 8 weeks when all of a sudden they became more shallow and then were totally gone a week or two after that (I was just about to give up). I wish I would have done my whole face at the time because the area which I applied the elicina has been resistant to new scars and much nicer in texture. (I dont scar in only that area!). I am now wanting to try elicina again and was wondering if it still works the same way. I had been in contact with a woman at the time who said her experience was the same with pitted scars and that it also healed her bad skin texture caused by laser surgery. (her name online was Veronica and you can still find posts from her experience with elicina if you do a search).
Hope this helps. Please let me know of your progress.

  14. Hi Anonymous, thanks for sharing your experience wih me. I find that Elicina worked for my skin too but the healing process is really quite slow, so I'm thinking of trying out another set of snail extract products to see how they will work on my skin and I'll share my reviews after that :)

  15. but i seriously feel it will NOT help pitted scars coz.. pitted scars r caused by damage tissue.. n how can a CREAM promote collgen???? ;(

    ReplyDelete
  16. Hi Anonymous, thanks for visiting my blog and expressing your concerns. As you can see from my photos above, my skin does looks more refined and there's also less redness on my skin but my scars are still there except that I think the scars have became smaller when I look at them. Whether the pitted scars will fully disappear or not, I'm not very sure about that. I've recently bought a bottle for my mother as she has very deep pitted scars on her face. Maybe I will let my mother use for another 2 months perhaps, and I might share her condition if her skin did improve for the better. :)

  17. Hi, i hv pitted acne scars on both my cheeks.DO u think the elicina wil work for me? Im stil hesitating which one to buy between Mederma, Hiruscar, Dermatix and Elicina =(

    ReplyDelete
  18. Hi Anonymous, I find that Elicina did work in healing pitted scars but it may take a long time. If your scars are rather deep, it would take even longer.

I'm not sure about other brands that you mentioned as I've not tried them before. I am not advertising for Elicina but I would say Elicina is really worth investing in if you have the patience and consistency in using the product.

    Hope this helps. :)

  21. Hi Mudassar, this product is suitable for both men and women to use. This product works in healing the skin, however I can't guarantee that this product will give you flawless skin after use as till now, there's no proven guarantee of any skincare products in the market that can give people flawless skin.

  22. Hi Yvonne :) thanks for the reply.I know and agree with you no cream gives a guranteed flawless skin. Can you please tell me which product fromt his brand i start to use.The Ellicina Snail Plus Cream or which one?.I also want to tell you that i shave often on my face the beard so i sometimes gets razor bumps do this helps with this?

    ReplyDelete
  23. Hi Yvonne.I want to ask more i shave often and i get some razor bumps/ingrown hairs is thsi product suitable?

    ReplyDelete
  24. Hi Mudassar, Elicina only comes with Elicina cream, Elicina mask and Elicina eyecream. So if you are looking for a product that gives a better healing effect for face, Elicina cream is the one. Elicina cream can heal cuts but for bumps and ingrown hairs, I'm not sure about it, maybe you can email the company (info@renaza.com) to clarify with them?

  25. thanks for sharing.cheers.shirley

  26. Hi Yvonne ! I want to ask if i start using the cream the Elicina Snail Cream Plus, can u tell me what happens in 1 week,2 week?
Like will skin get irritated like redness, peeling alot or any side effects of this cream u had?

    ReplyDelete
  27. Hi Mudassar, I experienced slight dryness and peeling after applying Elicina Snail Cream Plus but I think that's becuase I have dry skin and Elicina wasn't hydrating enough for me, so I'm not sure for other skin types will they also experience dryness and peeling. Other than that, there isn't any other effects that I noticed.

  28. hi, happened to see your post. would like to check if your skin condition is really much better cos my face is kinda sensitive and I am very skeptical about those product that claim to do wonders.

    ReplyDelete
  29. Hi Anonymous, when I was using Elicina I do noticed that my skin condition improved but the time taken for the skin to get better varies for different people. I also have sensitive, unstable skin condition and my skin reacts drastically to the change in weather, environment, pollution, body condition and amount of rest etc., so after I've stopped using Elicina for a few months, I noticed that my skin condition turned bad again, but sad to say, as a blogger, it's difficult for me to stick to one product for a long period as I have other products to try and share my reviews. Therefore, I can only share my review according to the period when I am using the product.
Hope I've answered your enquiry. :)

  30. oic, but does it really remove the scar permanently? i have pitted holes left by those dreadful acne :( so wondered if it can be remove by Elicina

    ReplyDelete
  31. Hi Anonymous, in my opinion, Elicina did help to heal scars lightly but it can take up a long time to see that result. For people with very deep pit holes, it would take up much longer. My mother has very deep pit holes on her face and she has been using Elicina for about 2 months now and from her skin, I noticed that her scars aren't as deep as before but still visible at the moment. It really takes patience to see the results.

  32. yvonne thanks for the the review, i really wanna know , how's your stretch mark progress after using elicina until now?

    ReplyDelete

    1. Hi, you're welcome! :))

For my stretch marks, it works really well. My stretch marks are hardly visible now but I don't think it's cost efficient for people with lots of stretch marks as a bottle of Elicina didn't really contain a lot.

      Hope this helps. :))

  34. Hello Yvonne,

Am from Mauritius and am glad that i have this cream in my Island too as i have some very dark spot on my both feet and i will try it... I would also like to know does it whitened the skin. I have uneven skin tone and old scars so will it work for this......

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. Hi Lionofjudah83, for skin redness and dark spots, Elicina cream works in lightening them and gives you a more even skin tone eventually but Elicina doesn't result in whiter skin as it doesn't contain any whitening ingredients.

Hope I've answered your question. :)

  35. Hi Yvonne.

Can Elicina be used as a moisturizing cream? Can i apply sunscreen n make up after using Elicina? Or it's better to use it as a night cream?

    Thanks

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. I think it is still better to apply moisturiser after Elicina followed by your sunscreen and makeup. Elicina definitely doesn't work as a night cream as it's not moisturising enough. Hope I've helped. :)

i have some pitted scars from acne ..not deep, rather flatter but still it look like holes..

its old scars and really annoy me..
can elicina really reduce the appearance of my scars??does it really work??
how about your progress right now??
or you have another recommendation cream for me like vitacreme B12 or EMC?
    i need your advice..i'm so desperate :((

btw, if u don't mind.. could i see your pictures after using elicina for 3 months???
    thank you so much yvonne..

    1. Hi Delillah, Elicina helped to lighten and minimise my scar appearance but my scars didn't totally vanish. The scars became less visible now but for your case, since you mentioned that your scars aren't very deep, you might be able to achieve better results.
I'm not sure about other products like vitacreme B12 or EMC as I didn't try them.

    1. Dear Shannon, I've stopped using this product. Pits on the skin can't really be gone. This snail cream helped to even out my skin tone and reduced redness, hence my skin looked like it has become smoother.

  40. Hi all,

Just to share my experience with Eczema skin and scars on legs :-
I bought a groupon voucher , and started scar treatment with Elicina cream. I had eczema on my lower legs, and it leaves dark scar when I got pregnant. The scar became lighter after giving birth, but is still fairly dark.

    1st Treatment :-
I'm still having some active eczema bumps (red and alittle swell up) when I went for treatment, (Diamond peel, with Elicina cream mask). I bought a bottle of Elcina Plus cream, and apply it almost 2-3 times a day.

    2 days after treatment :-
After the 1st treatment, I do feel the scar has lighten abit (not significant), and what makes me thrilled is the active eczema bumps die down! It became flat, and less red. (I've used so many different moisturizers , body balms/butters, and even medication from doctors, but none seem to make it calm down within 2 days).

I'm planning to continue my scar treatment for a longer period. Am trying to take the picture of my scar every other day, Will share the results when possible.
